When we talk of Spinach, the first image that comes to our mind is the green Spinach variety. But, did you know that there is another variety called the Red Spinach? Also called Amaranth, red spinach gets its name from its bright, red colored leaves. These vegetables are a staple diet in many parts of Bangladesh and are said to have traveled from the African and Central American regions. Bangladeshi Red spinach is known for its high nutritional value including iron, vitamins and minerals.
